The Foundation
Our Mission
The Greenish Jacket Foundation is a tax exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service. Your support and participation helps the Greenish Jacket Foundation fulfill its mission of using golf to bring awareness to the autoimmune disease, Scleroderma and we pledge to donate a portion of the proceeds to research.
Scleroderma is a chronic connective tissue disease that can cause hardening and tightening of the skin and internal organs. The disease and its effects vary patient-to-patient, but it is estimated that over 300,000 Americans have scleroderma and it can be very debilitating.
My mother, Laurie Holt was diagnosed with Scleroderma in November of 2010. Through her journey and battle with this disease, we have seen first-hand the benefits of receiving diagnosis and treatment from a world-class research hospital like the Mayo Clinic - it saved her life and we are forever grateful. Our Foundation and annual tournament were created in her honor and our goal is to continue helping those affected by this rare disease.
To date, the GJF has donated over $100k for Scleroderma research to the Mayo Clinic making us a Major Benefactor.
